Essential Guidelines for Business Visa Supporting Documentation

巴西商务签证申请材料重要指南

As a means to facilitate the visa application process for company employees traveling to Brazil for business purposes, the Embassy of Brazil recalls that invitation letters must bring clear and specific information, in compliance with the relevant visa category requirements. Incomplete and/or vague invitation letters may result in the rejection of the application. To avoid such issues, please ensure that the supporting documentation include the following information:

为便利赴巴西进行商务活动的企业员工申请商务签证，巴西驻华大使馆特此提醒：邀请函须包含符合签证种类要求的清晰、具体的信息。如邀请函中的信息不完整且/或内容含糊不清，可能导致申请被拒。为避免发生此类问题，请确保提供的申请材料包含以下内容：

1.Employee’s Information and Proof of Job Position - 员工信息及职位证明： （1）Clearly state the full name and position of the invitee, in both Chinese and English or Portuguese. 须以中文及英文或葡萄牙文清晰注明受邀请人的全名及职位。  （2）Include supporting documentation of the employee’s position as well as a brief job description, i.e. work contract, official employment certificate, or equivalent document that can serve as a way to unequivocally verify the duties performed by the applicant in the company. 须提供受邀请人职位的证明文件并简要说明工作职责，例如劳动合同、官方在职证明或具有同等效力的文件，以确凿证实申请人在企业所承担的职责。

2. Detailed Purpose of the Trip and Proof of Business Activities - 具体的访问目的及从事商务活动的证明： （1） Clearly describe the reasons why the employee themselves must travel to Brazil, connecting the nature of their job position with the business schedule. Should the applicant intend to participate in business meetings in Brazil on a regular basis, please include a brief explanation of the activities they are expected to carry out during future visits. 须具体说明员工亲自赴巴西访问的必要性，及其工作职位与商务活动安排的关联性。如申请人计划定期赴巴西参加商务会议，请对后续访问中拟开展的活动作出简要说明。   （2）Specify the type of business activities they will perform in Brazil. Refrain from providing generic descriptions such as "business meetings", without further details. 具体描述申请人拟在巴西进行的商务活动类型，避免仅使用“商务会议”等笼统表述。 （3）Provide written confirmation of all the appointments made, if such appointments are not specified in the invitation letter, in addition to the invitation letter itself. The length of stay in Brazil should align with the confirmed business engagements.如邀请函未明确提及具体商务活动安排，须另行提供书面确认文件，说明所有已安排的商务活动。在巴西拟停留期限须与书面确认的商务活动时间相符。 （4）Any acronyms should be accompanied by their full names upon first mention.首次出现缩写时须标注全称。

 3. Company Identification and Signatory Proof - 企业主体信息及签署人资质证明： （1）Ensure that the invitation letter is on official letterhead paper, stamped, and signed. 
邀请函须使用企业正式信笺纸出具，加盖公章并签字。 （2）Include the CNPJ number, address, and telephone number of the inviting Brazilian company. 邀请函须包含巴西邀请企业的CNPJ税务登记号、地址和联系电话。  （3）Attach a copy of the identification document of the Brazilian signee as to attest their capacity to respond on behalf of the company.  须随附巴西签署人的身份证明文件复印件，以证实其有权限代表企业签字。 4. Flight Itinerary Consistency - 航班行程一致性： （1）Ensure that the flight itinerary aligns with the business engagements in Brazil. The travel route should be consistent with the location of the inviting company and scheduled meetings. 航班行程须与申请人在巴西的商务活动安排一致，旅行路线须与邀请企业所在地及会议举办地一致。 （2）Provide proof of flight bookings or reservations that accurately reflect the applicant’s intended stay and activities in Brazil.须提供准确反映申请人在巴西拟停留时间、地点及活动的航班订单或预订单。 5. Undertaking of strict compliance with both Brazilian and Chinese Law - 严格遵守巴西和中国法律的承诺声明： （1）In the dispatch letter (signed by the Chinese company), include the following solemn statement: "I hereby solemnly declare that the information contained in this letter and in the other documents attached to the visa application is true and accurate, subject to liability under Chinese and Brazilian law." 派遣函（由中国企业签署）中须包含以下声明：“本人郑重声明，本派遣函及其他签证申请材料中的信息真实准确，如有虚假，愿依照中国和巴西法律承担相应责任。” （2）In the invitation letter (signed by the Brazilian company): "I hereby solemnly declare that the information contained in this letter and in the other documents attached to the visa application is true and accurate, subject to liability under Brazilian law." 邀请函（由巴西企业签署）中须包含以下声明：“本人郑重声明，本邀请函及其他签证申请材料中的信息真实准确，如有虚假，愿依照巴西法律承担相应责任。” 

Additionally, we kindly remind you that business visas are intended for activities such as taking part in business meetings, identifying investment or business opportunities, signing contracts, and participating in or exhibiting at workshops, trade shows, or industrial fairs/exhibitions. If the purpose of the trip is technical assistance, professional training or services, or others, the applicant must first request residence authorization from the Ministry of Justice in Brazil and subsequently apply for a work visa (VITEM V). 此外，商务签证仅适用于参加商务会议、考察投资或商业机会、签署合同、出席研讨会、参加贸易展会或产业展览会/博览会。若访问目的为技术支持、职业培训、专业服务等，申请人须先向巴西司法部申请居留许可，再申请工作签证（VITEM V）。具体申请流程及要求请参阅巴西司法部网站：
